Privacy & Cookie Policy

This policy describes how Ancient Intelligence LLC (“Ancient Intelligence”, “we”, “us”), a limited liability company organized in the United States, handles personal information collected through ancientadvisory.com (the “Site”). Discretion is the foundation of our practice; this policy simply puts it in writing.
1. Information we collect
- Correspondence you send us. When you use the inquiry form or write to us directly, we receive the name or pseudonym you choose to give, your e-mail address, and the content of your message. You decide how much to share.
- Technical data. Our infrastructure provider processes standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and requested pages) for security and delivery of the Site. We do not use this data to identify or profile visitors.
2. How we use your information
We use your correspondence solely to reply to you and, where an engagement follows, to provide the services you request. We do not use your details for marketing. We do not send newsletters unless you expressly ask for them. We never sell, rent, or share personal information for advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.
3. Service providers
We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf and only for the purposes described here:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting, content delivery and security for the Site.
- FormSubmit — technical delivery of inquiry-form submissions to our mailbox.
- Our e-mail provider — hosting of the mailbox that receives your correspondence.
These providers are bound by their own confidentiality and data-protection obligations and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
4. Cookies
The Site uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies of any kind.
- Our infrastructure provider may set strictly necessary items required to serve the Site securely (for example, security challenge cookies set by Cloudflare during suspected automated traffic). These cannot be switched off, as the Site cannot function safely without them.
- The Site stores a single value in your browser’s local storage when you dismiss our privacy notice, so we do not show it to you again. It contains no personal data.
Because we use no optional cookies, there is nothing for you to opt in or out of; the notice displayed on your first visit is informational.
5. Data retention
We keep correspondence only for as long as it is needed to handle your inquiry or engagement, and delete it upon your request at any time. We keep no client lists for publication and no records beyond what an engagement itself requires.
6. Your rights
You may at any time request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by writing to private@ancientadvisory.com. We will respond within a reasonable period and will never discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
- California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit.
- Visitors from the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland: we process your correspondence on the basis of your consent and of taking steps prior to entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and (b)). You additionally have the rights to restriction, objection, data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
7. Children
The Site and our services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Security
The Site is served exclusively over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to correspondence is limited to the one person who answers it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
